The Landestheater Niederösterreich is the state theatre of Lower Austria, located in Sankt Pölten's Kulturbezirk (Cultural Quarter). Opened in 1997, the modern building was designed by architect Klaus Kada and hosts a diverse programme of drama, dance, and interdisciplinary productions. It is one of the most important spoken-theatre venues in Austria.
