About the venue

The Sofiensäle is a historic event hall in Vienna, originally built in the mid-19th century as a bathing establishment and later converted into one of the city's most celebrated ballrooms and concert venues. It hosted grand balls, concerts, and political gatherings for well over a century. After a devastating fire in 2001, the building was extensively restored and reopened as a modern event and conference centre while preserving its ornate neoclassical façade.
