The Volkstheater Wien is a major public theatre in Vienna, opened in 1889. Designed by architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer in the Neo-Baroque style, it seats around 1,000 spectators and is one of the largest German-language theatres in the world. It stages a broad repertoire of drama, contemporary plays, and interdisciplinary productions.
