About
5/8erl in Ehr'n is a Vienna quintet founded in 2006, whose self-coined genre 'Wiener Soul' blends jazz, soul, Viennese song tradition and Wienerlied - all sung in Viennese dialect. The drumless lineup of two lead vocalists, guitar, double bass, accordion and piano gives the band a sound unlike anything else in Austrian pop. Seven Amadeus Austrian Music Awards in the Jazz/World/Blues category and over 1,000 concerts across Europe, China and Egypt confirm their standing as one of Austria's most distinctive live acts.
