About

Accept is a German heavy metal band from Solingen, active since 1976, whose brutal riffs and aggressive tempos helped lay the groundwork for speed and thrash metal. Their 1983 album Balls to the Wall broke them internationally and remains their best-known record, certified gold in the United States and Canada. Guitarist Wolf Hoffmann is the sole constant member across the band's many lineup changes and reunions; since 2009 the group has recorded with American vocalist Mark Tornillo, releasing six studio albums that each reached the German top ten. As of 2024 the band has sold over 17 million albums worldwide.
