About
Airbourne are an Australian hard rock band from Warrnambool, Victoria, formed in 2001 by brothers Joel O'Keeffe (vocals, lead guitar) and Ryan O'Keeffe (drums), later joined by bassist Justin Street and rhythm guitarist Brett Tyrrell. Rooted firmly in the pub-rock tradition of AC/DC and Rose Tattoo, they built a loyal European following across five studio albums before announcing their sixth, titled 'Airbourne', for August 2026. Their debut 'Runnin' Wild' (2007) won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best Debut Album, and subsequent records repeatedly cracked the German top 5.
