Alex Henry Foster is a Canadian musician, author, producer, and activist from Montreal, best known as the former frontman of the Juno Award-nominated post-rock band Your Favorite Enemies. His solo work - blending art rock, shoegaze, spoken word, and experimental soundscapes - grew out of a period of personal grief following his father's death in 2016, and has since earned him coverage in Rolling Stone and NME. He performs with his backing band The Long Shadows and runs his own label, Hopeful Tragedy Records, out of a studio built inside a former Catholic church near Montreal.
