Alexander Klaws (born 3 September 1983 in Ahlen, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German singer, actor and television host who won the inaugural season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2003, taking 70.1% of the public vote. His debut single "Take Me Tonight" sold over a million copies and topped the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, followed by six studio albums and multiple gold and platinum certifications. After training at the Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg, he built a parallel stage career headlining major German musical productions - most notably as Tarzan, a role he has now played three times across different Stage Entertainment venues. He is also a three-time winner of the Musical1 award for Best Musical Actor.

    Klaws released the new single "Das Lied das Leben heißt (Hello! Again?)" on 20 September 2025, his first solo pop release in several years.

    Klaws reprised the title role in Disney's Tarzan as a guest star at the Hamburg premiere of the Stage Theater Neue Flora production in November 2025, with further selected dates running through April 2026.

    On 19 December 2025, Klaws performed Tarzan on stage alongside his 8-year-old son Lenny, who played young Tarzan, at the Stage Theater Neue Flora in Hamburg.

    Klaws returned to the title role in Disney's Tarzan for 15 selected performances at Stuttgart's Stage Palladium Theater between January and April 2025 - his third engagement in the role.
