Alexander Knappe (born 1985 in Guben, raised in Cottbus) is a German singer-songwriter signed to Sony Music, known for German-language pop ballads with sharply personal lyrics. He came to wider attention through the first season of X Factor Germany and went on to release six studio albums, two of which reached the German Top Ten. Over a 15-year career he played more than 1,000 concerts, including orchestral tours with the Staatstheater Cottbus Philharmonic.
