Alexander von Zemlinsky (1871–1942) was an Austrian composer and conductor of the late Romantic period. He studied at the Vienna Conservatory and was a close friend and brother-in-law of Arnold Schönberg. His output includes operas, symphonic works, and chamber music; among his best-known pieces are the opera Der Zwerg and the Lyric Symphony.
