THE SWEET - Rockin' For The Eternity Tour
Glam rock legends Sweet, led by Andy Scott, are wrapping up their career on a farewell tour packed with hits like "Blockbuster!" and "The Ballroom Blitz".
Andy Scott is a Welsh guitarist who joined Sweet in 1970 and has been the band's driving force ever since. After the deaths of his classic-lineup bandmates - Brian Connolly (1997), Mick Tucker (2002) and Steve Priest (2020) - he became the sole surviving member and has kept the band on the road continuously. Under his leadership Sweet released their final studio album, Full Circle, in 2024, capping a catalog that includes glam-rock landmarks like "Blockbuster!", "The Ballroom Blitz" and "Fox on the Run".
Guitar World published a major feature on Andy Scott, describing him as "the lone survivor of the band's powerhouse lineup" still performing and overseeing new releases.
Sweet announced "The Final Blitz Tour" of Australia for October-November 2026.
Sweet's 2025 European tour kicked off in Germany, with further UK dates in Cardiff and London in April, despite Andy Scott dealing with ongoing health issues.
Sweet released Full Circle via Metalville Records - announced as the band's final studio album ever.
A separate five-member version of The Sweet, which obtained rights to use the name in the US, began operating independently of Scott's European touring band.
