Angelika Express is a Cologne indie-punk and power-pop band founded in 2002 by singer-songwriter Robert Drakogiannakis. Known for sharp, socially engaged German-language lyrics and an irrepressible melodic energy, the band built a cult following across two decades and ten albums - financing one of them through a fan-share scheme. Their 2023 album Köln ist kaputt, the tenth in their catalogue, turns the lens on their home city with characteristic wit and urgency.
