
Anna Meredith & B'Rock
British composer Anna Meredith and the ensemble B'Rock present contemporary classical music at Kölner Philharmonie.
Anna Meredith MBE (born 1978, London; raised in Scotland) is a composer, producer and performer whose work spans contemporary classical, electronica, art pop and experimental rock. She trained at the Royal College of Music and served as composer-in-residence with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra before her 2016 debut album Varmints won the Scottish Album of the Year Award and earned Pitchfork's Best New Music. Her second album FIBS (2019) was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, and she has since built a parallel career scoring films for A24 and Netflix.
Anna Meredith performs Anno with the B'Rock Orchestra at Kölner Philharmonie on 1 October 2026.
Meredith is currently working on her third studio album, following FIBS (2019).
Anno, performed by Scottish Ensemble, opened the Barbican's 2025-2026 classical season on 25 September 2025.
Faber Music announced new orchestral arrangements of tracks from Varmints and FIBS going on tour, alongside the Barbican Anno revival.
The Ligeti Quartet released NUC, an album of Meredith's string quartet works, listed among the Guardian's Ten Best Contemporary Albums of 2023.
