Apocalypse Orchestra is a Swedish medieval doom metal band from Gävle, formed in 2013 by Mikael Lindström and Erik Larsson. They weave hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, and mandolas into slow, heavy riffs, drawing lyrical themes from plague, medieval art, and the darker corners of European history. Their 2017 debut The End Is Nigh earned wide critical praise, and in February 2025 they released their long-awaited second album A Plague upon Thee via Despotz Records.

The band performed two nights at Wisby Hof in Visby, Gotland during Medieval Week, playing inside an 800-year-old guard tower connected to the ancient city wall.
Apocalypse Orchestra announced The Plague Tour, a European run starting in Leipzig in September 2025, with a final added date in Linköping on September 24.
The band is currently on a new European tour running from August to September 2026, with dates across Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
