About

Arlo Parks (born Anaïs Oluwatoyin Estelle Marinho) is a London-based singer-songwriter and poet of West African and French heritage. Her debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams (2021) won the Mercury Prize and the BRIT Award for Breakthrough Artist, establishing her as one of the most distinctive voices in British indie-pop. She writes with unusual candour about mental health, queer identity and intimacy, blending soul, spoken word and lo-fi pop. Her third album, Ambiguous Desire (2026), marks a shift toward club-influenced sounds while keeping her signature lyrical depth.
