About

Asenblut is a German pagan/melodic death metal band founded in 2006-2007 in Göttingen, Lower Saxony. Their music draws on Norse mythology, folk influences and aggressive riffing, and the band's name itself refers to the blood of the Asen - the gods of Norse legend. With six studio albums on labels including AFM Records and Massacre Records, they have built a loyal following in the German-speaking metal scene, reaching the German album charts with 'Die wilde Jagd' (2020).
