Astrid M. Fünderich (born 27 September 1963 in Düsseldorf) is a German actress best known for playing Chief Detective Martina Seiffert in the long-running ZDF crime series SOKO Stuttgart, a role she has held since 2009. Before landing that part she built a broad TV career across ARD, RTL and Sat.1, earning a German Television Award nomination in 2001 for her lead role in Die Cleveren. Alongside her screen work she performs live literary shows, including a reading programme dedicated to Erich Kästner and events centred on the cult detective series Die drei ???.
SOKO Stuttgart season 17 continued airing on ZDF in spring 2026, with Fünderich's team averaging 3 million viewers and a 20.9% market share in the first half of 2026.
The Renitenztheater Stuttgart programmed Fünderich and co-star Mike Zaka Sommerfeldt's Erich Kästner reading show 'Lieben und (nicht) lieben lassen' in its January-April 2026 season.
Season 17 of SOKO Stuttgart, produced by Bavaria Fiction, launched on ZDF on 2 October 2025 with 20 new episodes.
Fünderich performed a live detective-story reading for children and adults at the Galerie Stihl Waiblingen alongside entertainer Klaus-Dieter Mayer, drawing audiences of all ages.
Fünderich launched the stage reading programme 'Lieben und (nicht) lieben lassen - 125 Jahre Erich Kästner' together with SOKO Stuttgart colleague Mike Zaka Sommerfeldt, with further dates in the Stuttgart region planned for 2025.
