Niedeckens BAP is a rock band from Cologne, Germany, founded in 1976 by singer-songwriter Wolfgang Niedecken. They sing exclusively in Kölsch - the Ripuarian dialect of Cologne - and have placed 13 albums at number one in the German charts, more than any other band in German chart history. Their sound draws on rock, blues and folk, and their catalogue spans five decades of politically engaged, poetically crafted songwriting.
