Bastille are a London-based indie pop band formed in 2010 by singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who later brought in keyboardist Kyle Simmons, bassist Will Farquarson and drummer Chris Wood. Their 2013 debut album Bad Blood went straight to number one in the UK and produced the global hit "Pompeii", earning them the Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act in 2014. Over five studio albums - from Wild World (2016) through to the acoustic concept record "&" (2024) - they have sold over 13 million records and racked up 2 billion video views worldwide.
Bastille announced a nine-city UK arena tour titled "From All Sides - Songs from the first 15 years", running through November 2025 and culminating at London's O2 Arena on 18 November.
Bastille released their fifth studio album "&" (Ampersand) on 25 October 2024 via EMI Records - an acoustic concept album of 14 story-songs based on historical and personal figures.
The band took a year's hiatus from touring in 2024.
Bastille collaborated with composer Hans Zimmer on "Pompeii MMXXIII", a reworked version of their signature hit that featured on the end credits of BBC's Planet Earth III.
Bastille are scheduled to perform at the Łódź Summer Festival 2026 in Poland on 24 July 2026.
