Bi-2 in Leipzig: "Journey Around the Sun"
Russian rock band Bi-2 arrives in Leipzig with a tour supporting their new album "Journey Around the Sun", featuring new material and classic hits.
Bi-2 is a Belarusian-Israeli alternative rock band founded in 1988 in Bobruisk by Leva (Yegor Bortnik) and Shura (Aleksandr Uman). The duo broke through to mass audiences in 2000 via the soundtrack to Alexei Balabanov's cult film 'Brother 2', and went on to win the MTV Russian Music Awards for Best Rock Act (2007) and the World Music Awards. After opposing Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the band left Russia and has continued releasing music and touring Europe from emigration.
Bi-2 released their 12th studio album 'Путешествие вокруг Солнца' on March 13, 2026, described as the conclusion of a trilogy begun with 'Горизонт событий' (2017) and 'Аллилуйя' (2022).
The single 'Летний гром' reached 2 million YouTube views within one week of its July 2025 release.
Bi-2 launched their 'All The Best' world tour in September 2025, covering over 30 cities across Europe and North America through early 2026.
Moldovan president Maia Sandu granted Moldovan citizenship to several members of Bi-2.
Bi-2 members were detained in Thailand in January 2024 while on tour and subsequently deported to Israel in February 2024, avoiding extradition to Russia.

Russian rock band Bi-2 performs in Warsaw as part of their Outloud 2026 world tour.
