About
Big Daddy Wilson (born Adam Wilson Blount, August 19, 1960, in Edenton, North Carolina) is an American electric and soul blues singer-songwriter who has lived in northern Germany for nearly three decades. He grew up singing gospel in church and working tobacco and cotton fields, and only discovered the blues after enlisting in the U.S. Army and being stationed in Germany in 1979 - a country he never left. Most of his recordings have been released on the German label Ruf Records, and he has appeared on more than a dozen albums spanning blues, soul, gospel and reggae.
