About

Birds in Row is a French post-hardcore trio from Laval, formed in 2009, whose members go by initials only and deliberately keep their faces out of promotional material. Signed to Deathwish Inc. in 2011, they built a following through relentless touring with Converge, Touché Amoré and others before their 2018 album We Already Lost the World brought them wider international recognition. Their third record, Gris Klein (2022, Red Creek Recordings), pushed further into atmospheric territory while keeping the raw intensity intact.

Deathwish Inc. announced that Birds in Row will release a new album, with European tour dates confirmed alongside Coilguns and festival appearances.

Birds in Row appeared at Ieper Hardcore Fest 2025 in Belgium and supported Alexisonfire at London's O2 Academy Brixton.

The band toured Europe extensively in summer 2025, with dates alongside Cult Leader, Coilguns, Heavy Heart, Chaviré and Life in Vacuum.

In a July 2024 interview at RIIP Fest, guitarist/vocalist Bart confirmed the band would not reverse their 2023 decision to withdraw from Hellfest, citing the festival's values as incompatible with their own.

Birds in Row withdrew from Hellfest 2023 in solidarity with a former intern who filed legal action against the festival's organizers over allegations of moral and sexual harassment.
