Black Stone Cherry is an American hard rock band from Edmonton, Kentucky, formed in 2001 by Chris Robertson (vocals/guitar), Ben Wells (guitar), John Fred Young (drums) - whose father Richard Young plays in The Kentucky Headhunters - and bassist Steve Jewell Jr., who replaced founding member Jon Lawhon in 2021. Rooted in southern rock and blues, the band has released eight studio albums on Mascot Records and built a particularly devoted following in the UK, where six consecutive albums debuted at No. 1 on the Rock Albums chart.
