Carpenter Brut is the darksynth project of French musician Franck Hueso, born in 1977 in Poitiers. Working largely in anonymity, he built a cult following through three self-released EPs (2012-2015), later compiled as Trilogy, and went on to release the Leather trilogy - Leather Teeth (2018), Leather Terror (2022), and Leather Temple (2026) - a narrative arc blending 80s horror aesthetics, metal riffs, and neon-soaked synths. Live, he performs as a trio with guitarist Adrien Grousset and drummer Florent Marcadet, both from the French metal band Hacride.
