Centhron is a harsh electro / aggrotech project from Bremen, Germany, founded in winter 2001 by vocalist and programmer Elmar Schmidt and programmer Jörg Herrmann. Over more than two decades the band built a loyal following across Europe's industrial underground, releasing twelve studio albums and sharing stages at major dark-music festivals including Wave-Gotik-Treffen and M'era Luna. Their sound fuses hard, danceable EBM beats with heavily processed vocals and themes drawn from politics, sexuality, and Nordic mythology.
Centhron released their twelfth studio album 'Liebe ist Krieg' on April 4, 2025, via Scanner / Dark Dimensions Label Group - their first full-length in six years.
Centhron performed at the 32nd Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in Leipzig, Germany, in June 2025.
Centhron appeared at the M'era Luna Festival 2024 at Airport Hildesheim, Germany.
Centhron is scheduled to perform at the E-Tropolis Festival 2026 at Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, Germany.
