Chamber Orchestra of Europe was founded in 1981 by alumni of the European Union Youth Orchestra. It brings together musicians from across the continent and operates without a permanent chief conductor, working instead with a rotating roster of soloists and conductors. The ensemble is particularly associated with classical and Romantic repertoire.
