About

China Crisis are an English new wave and synth-pop band formed in 1979 in Kirkby, near Liverpool, by vocalist/keyboardist Gary Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon. Through the 1980s they racked up eleven UK Top-50 singles - including the Top-10 hit "Wishful Thinking" - and two Gold-certified albums, with their 1985 record Flaunt the Imperfection produced by Steely Dan's Walter Becker reaching number 9 in the UK. Still active, the duo continues to tour internationally and release new material well into the 2020s.
