Conway the Machine (born Demond Price, February 16, 1982) is a rapper from Buffalo, New York, and co-founder of Griselda Records alongside his half-brother Westside Gunn and cousin Benny the Butcher. A near-fatal shooting in 2012 left him with partial facial paralysis - a detail that became part of his identity - and redirected his focus entirely toward music. He built a reputation on dense, uncompromising lyricism over dark, sample-heavy production, breaking through to wider audiences with his Shady Records debut 'God Don't Make Mistakes' (2022) before launching his own label, Drumwork.
