Courtney Barnett is an Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Sydney in 1987, known for her deadpan delivery and sharply observational, conversational lyrics set against gritty indie rock. Her 2015 debut album Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit broke her internationally, earning Grammy and Brit Award nominations and four ARIA wins. She has since released the Kurt Vile collaboration Lotta Sea Lice (2017), Tell Me How You Really Feel (2018), Things Take Time, Take Time (2021), and her fourth solo record Creature of Habit (2026).
Barnett announced a UK and European leg of her Creature of Habit tour for October 2026, opening in Berlin on October 5 and covering Cologne, Utrecht, Brussels, Luxembourg, Paris, and six UK cities.
Her fourth studio album Creature of Habit was released on March 27, 2026 via Mom + Pop / Fiction Records, her first solo record in nearly five years.
