The Story of CCR - Hansa Theater Hörde
A concert celebrating the history of Creedence Clearwater Revival at Hansa-Theater Hörde.
Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) was an American rock band formed in El Cerrito, California, active from 1967 to 1972. Led by singer, guitarist and primary songwriter John Fogerty, the quartet - completed by his brother Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford - forged a raw, blues-rooted style known as swamp rock that stood apart from the psychedelic trends of their San Francisco Bay Area peers. Between 1969 and 1971 they placed 14 consecutive singles in the US Top 10 and performed at Woodstock; they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
'Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits' climbed to No. 43 on the Billboard 200 dated June 20, 2026, reaching 802 total weeks on the chart.
John Fogerty released 'Legacy: the Creedence Clearwater Revival Years', a collection of re-recordings of classic CCR songs, via Concord on August 22, 2025.
All seven CCR studio albums were reissued on color vinyl for the first time in February 2025, with new remasters.
'Fortunate Son' reached its all-time Spotify streaming peak in 2024, 55 years after its original release.
