About

Cult of Fire is a Prague-based black metal band founded in 2010 by guitarist Vladimír Pavelka (Infernal Vlad) and drummer Tom Coroner. Their music draws on Hindu and Buddhist tantrism - Vedic ritual, the goddess Kali, and the Aghori tradition - giving their sound a ceremonial weight rare in the genre. The 2013 album मृत्यु का तापसी अनुध्यान (Ascetic Meditations of Death) broke them into the international underground, and their fifth full-length The One, Who Is Made of Smoke (2025) is dedicated to the goddess Dhumavati.
