Dagny (born Dagny Norvoll Sandvik, 23 July 1990 in Tromsø) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter whose indie-pop and synth-pop sound broke internationally with the 2016 single "Backbeat". Her debut album Strangers / Lovers (2020) reached #2 on the Norwegian chart and drew praise from The Guardian, BBC Music and Billboard; her 2017 track "Love You Like That" later became the basis for Katy Perry's "Never Really Over". She has surpassed one billion streams, won Song of the Year at Norway's P3 Gull for "Somebody", and headlined a sold-out 10,000-capacity Oslo Spektrum in December 2023.
