About

Dark Funeral is a Swedish black metal band from Stockholm, founded in 1993 by guitarist Lord Ahriman and the late Blackmoon. Built on blistering speed, satanic imagery and an uncompromising live reputation, they became one of the defining acts of the second wave of black metal. Their 1996 debut full-length "The Secrets of the Black Arts" established them internationally, and seven studio albums later - most recently "We Are The Apocalypse" (2022) - the band continues to tour relentlessly worldwide.
