Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult (DNS) is a German black metal band from Dormagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, founded in 1997 by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Onielar (Yvonne Wilczynska) and drummer Ariovist. The band plays raw, fast old-school black metal rooted in occultism and nihilism, drawing comparisons to the Norwegian second-wave scene. With six studio albums - most recently Mardom (2019) on War Anthem Records - DNS have built a loyal underground following across Europe and beyond.
The debut demo 'The Pest Called Humanity' (1999) was reissued on picture vinyl via Osmose Productions in June 2026.
DNS are confirmed for the Under the Black Sun Festival in July 2026.
DNS played the War Against War festival in Berlin in November 2025.
The band toured South America in September 2025, performing in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina.
A limited-edition black silver galaxy LP reissue of the 2006 album 'Hora Nocturna' was released in 2025, limited to 500 copies.
