David Michôd is an Australian film director and screenwriter, best known for his debut feature Animal Kingdom (2010), a crime drama set in Melbourne's underworld. He also directed The Rover (2014) and the Netflix war film The King (2019), which he co-wrote with Joel Edgerton.
