Der Nino aus Wien (born Nino Mandl, Vienna, 22 May 1987) is an Austrian singer-songwriter and writer who grew up in the Hirschstetten district of Vienna's 22nd borough and taught himself guitar as a teenager. His music blends Viennese song tradition (Wienerlied), indie folk and pop, with lyrics rooted in everyday Viennese life, self-irony and the city's particular brand of dark humour. Over more than 15 years he has released a string of albums on the independent label Medienmanufaktur Wien, earned multiple Amadeus Austrian Music Award nominations and a win in 2016, and has performed everywhere from the Arena Wien to the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
