Dexys Midnight Runners are a British band from Birmingham, formed in 1978 by singer Kevin Rowland. They scored two UK number ones - 'Geno' (1980) and 'Come On Eileen' (1982) - with the latter also topping the US Billboard Hot 100. Their sound draws on blue-eyed soul, R&B and Celtic folk, and after years performing under the shortened name Dexys, they returned to their full name in 2026 alongside a new album, LOVE.
The band's seventh studio album, LOVE, produced by David Holmes, was released on September 4, 2026 via Heavenly Recordings.
Due to high ticket demand, Dexys Midnight Runners added five European dates to their 2026 tour, covering Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Berlin and Paris.
