Die Fantastischen Vier - known as Fanta 4 - are a hip-hop group from Stuttgart, Germany, who formed in 1989 and went on to release the first entirely German-language rap album, "Jetzt geht's ab", in 1991. Their 1992 single "Die da!?" broke through across Europe and made German-language rap commercially viable for the first time. Over more than three decades the quartet - Smudo, Thomas D, Michi Beck and And.Ypsilon - sold over 5.9 million records and shaped the entire landscape of German hip-hop.
