Dieter Bohlen (born 7 February 1954) is a German songwriter, record producer and singer who rose to global fame as the creative force behind Modern Talking - the duo he formed with Thomas Anders in 1983. Their debut single "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" alone sold an estimated 8 million copies worldwide, and Modern Talking went on to become the best-selling German music act of all time. Beyond the duo, Bohlen has produced hits for artists including Andrea Berg and Yvonne Catterfeld, and has served as head juror on the RTL casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" since 2002.
