Dirty Rotten Imbeciles (D.R.I.) are an American hardcore/crossover thrash band from Houston, Texas, formed in 1982. They were among the first to blend hardcore punk with thrash metal, helping define the crossover genre. Their 1987 album Crossover effectively named the style.
