Disturbed + Korn Tribute | The Sickness + Freaks of the Leash
Two nu-metal legends honoured in one night: The Sickness plays Disturbed and Freaks of the Leash covers Korn at ResonanzWerk Oberhausen.
Disturbed are a heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1994, built around vocalist David Draiman's instantly recognizable staccato delivery and guitarist Dan Donegan's churning riffs. Their 2000 debut The Sickness - five-times platinum in the US and a fixture on the Billboard 200 for 106 weeks - established them as one of the defining acts of the nu-metal era, while their 2015 cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" crossed into mainstream radio and eventually surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams. Over eight studio albums the band has sold more than 17 million records worldwide.
Both "Down with the Sickness" and "The Sound of Silence" crossed 1 billion streams on Spotify, making Disturbed one of the few rock bands with two songs in the platform's Billions Club.
Vocalist David Draiman discussed a new album in progress, with the band reportedly working at a reduced pace through 2026.
Disturbed performed at The O2 Arena in London on October 26, 2025, as part of their extended touring cycle.
New single "I Will Not Break", released in February 2025 on the band's own Mother Culture Records, reached #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in April 2025.
Disturbed launched The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour - a 34-date North American run produced by Live Nation - performing the debut album in full each night, followed by a greatest-hits set.
