Dornröschen (Sleeping Beauty) is a classical ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, premiered in 1890. Based on Charles Perrault's fairy tale, it follows a princess cursed into eternal sleep and awakened by a prince's kiss. The score is among Tchaikovsky's most celebrated, and the ballet remains a staple of the classical repertoire.
