Duran Duran are a British pop rock band formed in Birmingham in 1978, who became one of the defining acts of the New Romantic movement and a driving force behind the MTV-era Second British Invasion of the US. Over four decades they have sold more than 100 million records, scored 18 American chart hits and 21 UK Top 20 singles, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. The current line-up - Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor - continues to record and tour, releasing their sixteenth studio album Danse Macabre in 2023.
Duran Duran released 'Free to Love' (feat. Nile Rodgers) on 23 April 2026 - their 50th single overall - which became BBC Radio 2's Record of the Week and landed on 21 Spotify New Music Friday playlists globally.
The band announced a headline slot at London's BST Hyde Park on 5 July 2026, supported by Scissor Sisters, as part of a wider US and European tour.
