About

Earth, Wind & Fire is an American band founded in Chicago in 1969 by drummer and visionary Maurice White. Blending soul, funk, R&B, jazz and gospel into a sound entirely their own, they became one of the best-selling acts in music history - with over 100 million albums sold, nine Grammy Awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2019. Classics like "September", "Boogie Wonderland" and "Let's Groove" remain fixtures on streaming charts more than four decades after their release.
