Eisbrecher is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in 2003 in Fürstenfeldbruck by vocalist Alexander Wesselsky and guitarist/programmer Noel Pix, both formerly of Megaherz. Their sound fuses heavy guitar riffs with electronic and industrial elements, sung entirely in German. Over ten studio albums they built a loyal following across the German-speaking world, with several records charting in the German top 10. Co-founder Noel Pix departed in early 2024 and was replaced by Marc "Micki" Richter.
Ninth studio album Kaltfront was released on 14 March 2025, debuting at No. 4 on the German album charts, No. 7 in Austria, and No. 17 in Switzerland.
The Kaltfront Tour 2025 launched in March, covering over 40 dates across Europe with Heldmaschine as special guest.
Lead single "Everything Is Wunderbar" from the forthcoming album Kaltfront was released on 29 November 2024.
Co-founder and lead guitarist Noel Pix officially departed Eisbrecher in early 2024; he was replaced by Marc "Micki" Richter, who debuted live at the Rock-Dein-Leben Festival in July 2024.
A career-spanning best-of compilation, Es bleibt kalt°! (2003-2023), was released in August 2023 to mark the band's 20th anniversary.
