Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990 in Paris) is an English actress and activist who rose to global fame playing Hermione Granger across all eight Harry Potter films (2001-2011). Her post-Potter career spans Beauty and the Beast (2017), Little Women (2019), and sustained advocacy for gender equality as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. Since 2023 she has been studying at Oxford University, where she is reportedly pursuing a DPhil alongside her earlier creative writing master's.
