"Skryabin" Band in Germany. Memorial Concert for Kuzma Skryabin
Ukrainian rock band Скрябін comes to Hannover for a tribute concert honouring the memory of their iconic frontman Kuzma Skryabin.
Скрябін is a Ukrainian rock band founded in 1989 in Novoiavorivsk, western Ukraine, by singer-songwriter Andriy Kuzmenko - known as Kuzma. Pioneering Ukrainian-language synth-pop and alternative electronics, the band evolved through post-punk and techno into pop-rock, releasing 17 studio albums and performing over 2,000 concerts. Kuzma died in a car accident on 2 February 2015; the band continues to perform his songs under a licensed agreement with his family, with vocalist Yurcash (Yuriy Yurchenko) taking the vocal parts on stage.
The band performed a memorial concert with a symphony orchestra in Kyiv on 5 March 2025, marking the 35th anniversary of Скрябін.
A tribute concert 'Кузьма. Пісні гурту Скрябін' was held at the Poltava Regional Philharmonic on 5 February 2025.
The band played a 35th-anniversary memorial evening in Dnipro on 16 January 2025.
The band released a new track recorded in collaboration with Yurcash and war veteran Sokil at Duma Studios Kyiv, supported by Ukrainian drone manufacturer Deviro.
During their joint tour with Yurcash, the band raised over 5 million hryvnias for the Ukrainian military.
