Stand-up comedian Mikhail Shatz brings his "Liftoluk" tour to Frankfurt.
Mikhail Shats (born 7 June 1965, Leningrad) is a Russian-Israeli comedian, TV host, actor and stand-up performer who rose to fame in the late 1990s as a co-creator and host of the cult sketch show O.S.P.-Studio and the comedy series 33 Square Meters. A two-time TEFI award winner, he spent years as one of the leading faces of the STS channel before turning to stand-up comedy in 2018. After speaking out against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, he left the country in March 2022 and now lives in Israel, where he continues to tour internationally with solo stand-up shows.
Shats is performing his new stand-up show 'Лифтолук' on a European tour with dates in Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Vilnius, Klajpeda, Amsterdam and Riga in June 2026.
A Frankfurt leg of the 'Лифтолук' tour is scheduled for November 2026, with 16 European cities listed in total.
The 'Лифтолук' show premiered in Netanya, Israel in March 2026, with the title referencing the elevator-mirror selfie as a metaphor for self-observation and identity.
In January 2026, Shats spoke publicly about life in Israel and accusations of 'changing sides', saying he is accustomed to such criticism.
In April 2025, Shats performed his previous stand-up show 'Наконец-то!' ('Finally!') on a North American tour, with dates in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and San Jose.
