Maksim Galkin
Russian singer and comedian Maksim Galkin performs in Vienna with a concert full of humour and music.
Maxim Galkin (born 18 June 1976) is a Russian-Israeli comedian, impersonator and television presenter who rose to fame in the 1990s with sharp parodies of politicians and celebrities. He hosted the Russian edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and fronted some of the most-watched entertainment shows on Russian television. In March 2022 he left Russia following the invasion of Ukraine, publicly opposed the war, and was subsequently designated a 'foreign agent' by the Russian Justice Ministry. Since then he has toured internationally with new solo programmes, performing to Russian-speaking diaspora audiences across Europe, Israel and North America.
Galkin's European tour continued in early 2026, with a show announced in Antwerp (Koningin Elisabethzaal) on 21 February 2026.
A concert in Burgas, Bulgaria is scheduled for 18 July 2026, and Polish dates in Łódź and Poznań are set for October 2026.
Galkin performed in Valencia, Madrid, Malmö and Oslo in February 2025 as part of his international tour with the programme 'Prekrasnoye nedaleko'.
Indonesian authorities denied Galkin entry to Bali in January 2024, citing a formal request from the Russian government linked to his foreign-agent status.
Russia's Justice Ministry designated Galkin a 'foreign agent' in September 2022, following his public opposition to the invasion of Ukraine and his departure from Russia in March 2022.
