Erdmöbel - Weihnachtstour 2026
German band Erdmöbel performs their Christmas tour in Bochum.
Erdmöbel is a German indie band founded in Münster in 1994-95 and long based in Cologne, built around singer-songwriter and novelist Markus Berges alongside multi-instrumentalist Ekimas, keyboardist Wolfgang Proppe, and drummer Christian Wübben. The band is known for melodic, often polyphonic arrangements and Berges' densely literary German lyrics - a style the Süddeutsche Zeitung once summed up as 'the greatest German band of our time'. Since 2006 they have released an annual 'Jahresendsong' and taken it on a beloved Christmas tour; their 2025 anniversary album 'Hätte Sehnsucht Gewicht', recorded with the Kaiser Quartett, brought them to the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the philharmonics in Berlin and Cologne.
